Three Tips for Effective Article Marketing

Publish by: Webmaster Saturday, June 6, 2009

One of the best ways to get free advertising and links back to your site is to write good articles and publish them on blogs and websites around the Internet with a link back to your site. Doing this in a systematic way is usually called “article marketing.” I have done it for years and believe me it works! However, my enthusiasm for article marketing is started to wane due to an avalanche of poorly written articles which do not provide end users with useful information.

In the same way that reciprocal linking was destroyed by misguided users trying to “game” the search engines, article marketing stands in a precarious position today. I publish three article directories and I can assure you that most of the articles submitted should be consigned to the recycle bin because they go against the basic idea of providing good useful information in an easy-to-read fashion. In case you are writing articles, or about to have some articles written for you, here are three important tips for doing it properly.

1. Provide Information and Not a Sales Pitch

It is futile to write directly about your product and explain how great it is. If this is what you want to do, it is better to write a press release and explain the newsworthy features of your work. An article for publication on another website should be related to your area of expertise, but should not be bragging about you or your product.

For example, if you operate a garden supply business, then write “how-to” articles helping people to solve some of the gardening and landscaping problems that they might be facing. You don’t have to say how great your garden supply business is. If you write well and provide useful tips, then the readers will be impressed and they will want to click through on your link and find out more about you and your business

People who visit your website after reading a good article are high quality visitors, because they have been “pre-sold” on you. They already regard you as an “expert” and will be more inclined to buy your products or subscribe to your newsletters than someone who clicks through on just any old link.

2. Write the article properly or get the article written by someone who can write!

If you were to submit an article to your English teacher in high school or college, would you want to hand in something with obvious grammatical mistakes even in the title itself? Of course you wouldn’t but that doesn’t stop people from hiring unqualified ghostwriters to write tons of sub-standard articles for them at $5 per article.

Try writing an intelligent 500 word article. Can you do it in ten minutes or even twenty minutes? Probably not. Take the time to write your article well and if you are hiring someone then you should opt for a native English speaker who will give it a reasonable amount of time. You may have to pay more for it, but you will gain in the end.

How will you gain? Well written and informative articles get reprinted at a much greater frequency than the junk or filler articles. You will gain with more links and most importantly you will get more credibility as an expert in your field.

3. Format Your Articles Properly

One of the keys to effectiveness is the readability of your article. Do you like looking at a long block of printed words without any paragraph breaks? Take the time to divide your articles into short paragraphs punctuated by sub-heads. It will give your readers a chance to assimilate your message more easily.

The reason why I am particular on this point is that many people use automated article submission systems which push all the paragraphs together. Editors have no time to make these corrections for you and may delete the articles. Alternatively, your article may be published, but in a way that turns off the reader, rather than inspiring her to read the whole article. Submit your articles in a proper format and make sure that your submission system sends a well formatted version to the publishers.

If you follow these three tips then you will be “adding value” to the Internet rather than clogging it with useless filler. You will be doing a service to the public, and in the end it will work to your benefit too.

Cooperating with Traffic Exchange

Publish by: Webmaster Monday, June 1, 2009

There is a lot of feedback regarding traffic exchange as a marketing tool; some are positive and some are negative. Whatever it is, all of the marketing tools have their strengths and weaknesses. Traffic exchange has a great potential in boosting the business and helping meet success in the venture, but it needs much cooperation on the part of the business owner.

There are also a lot of people who see solutions in traffic exchanges. Solutions mean the answer to their current problems. It is true that the main reason for surfing within traffic exchanges is to bring traffic to one’s own site; and it is also a fact that surfers find interesting businesses, products, or services in traffic exchanges as well. Chances are, the internet marketers may have a certain need that can be satisfied through an offer.

The first thing to think about is the page that will be shown to the other internet marketers surfing within the program. They should be appealing enough to catch the attention of the viewers and not to let them go until they would like to know more about the product or service, or until they leave their contact details. This is very effective as the page being shown in traffic exchanges really pave the way to a possible purchase at the right time.

It is a great idea to give the viewers some free offer that they can only have in exchange of their contact details which are their name and email address. This is also known as capturing leads and building a list. This is useful for further marketing techniques.

Moreover, it is best to join manual traffic exchanges if the goal is to persuade the viewers to know more about the products. Traffic exchange has two types which are the manual traffic exchange and the auto traffic exchange.

Manual traffic exchange requires the members to click within the page in order to go to the next site and view the next page. Auto traffic exchange does not need clicking. The pages are automatically set to change after the minimum timeframe. In this case, it is certain that the pages will be viewed by humans within a manual traffic exchange as pages just keep on changing within auto traffic exchange without anyone even looking at it.

Like any other marketing tools, engaging in traffic exchanges require enough time and effort. A member gets more credits when he or she surfs more often. This is also a big opportunity to check on the sites of the competitors. Seeing their pages is a way to be updated and be competitive enough to make a lot of sales. Additionally, it is better to have referrals or downlines in order to get bonus credits and have more time in doing other things that can add to the success of the venture.

Use traffic exchanges properly and success is on its way to meet the business. Easy money is not true. Cooperation is a must in every business. The good thing with traffic exchanges is that they have free memberships; so it is not a big deal to give it a try and experience the benefits one can get out of it.

Using Question and Answer Websites for Affiliate Marketing

Publish by: Webmaster Wednesday, April 29, 2009

Question and answer sites are quite popular among people who are searching for specific information or have some knowledge to share. In these websites, users post their questions on any topic anyone could possibly think of and other users can post their answers. All questions and answers are then stored within the site. This way, those who do not wish to participate can still use the site by searching for topics that are of interest to them and viewing answers to other users' questions.

Today, the most popularly used question and answer site is Yahoo Answers. Among the most appealing features of the site is how users can select the best answer to any question. What's considered as the best answer then appears more prominently in the question's web page allowing other users to quickly view the most relevant information.

These question and answer sites can be very useful for people engaged in affiliate marketing. In sites like Yahoo Answers, affiliate marketers can simply search for questions that are related to their niche. This can be done either through the site's search function or going through the available categories. Whenever they find relevant questions, affiliate marketers can use their expertise on their niche to provide answers. Within the answers, affiliate marketing links should be included so users who are interested in reading more information will be directed to the affiliate marketer's site.

If you want this to work for making money online with affiliate marketing, try your best to provide detailed answers to questions that are related to what you have to offer. Never spam the question and answer site with your affiliate marketing information because that could be grounds for getting banned. For this reason, you should always provide useful information when answering questions. Be sure that you are subtle when including your affiliate marketing links and never allow yourself to sound like you're giving a sales pitch.

Question and answer sites are among the most useful free platforms marketers can use to increase their affiliate marketing commissions. By spending just a little time each day to provide informative answers to questions, affiliate marketers may have much to gain.

Basic Tactics All Affiliate Marketers Need To Thrive Online

Publish by: Webmaster Friday, April 24, 2009

Every affiliate marketer is constantly looking for the one or two successful markets that give them the biggest paycheck. Sometimes they think it’s a magic formula that is readily available for them if they buy just ONE MORE “guru promise”. Actually, it is more complicated than that. It is just good marketing practices that have been proven over years of hard work and dedication, trial and error and testing. Affiliate marketing, like any other business, has a learning curve that all successful marketers eventually “pass through”.

These are tactics that have worked before with online affiliate marketing and are continuing to work in the online affiliate marketing world of today. With these top three marketing tips, you will be able to able to increase your sales and thrive in the world of affiliate marketing online.

What are these three tactics?

1. Using unique web pages to promote each separate product you are marketing. Do not lump all of it together just to save some money on web hosting. It is best to have a site (it can easily be a free site like Squidoo or HubPages – or many similar sites) focusing on each and every product and nothing more.

Always include product reviews on your website so visitors will have an initial understanding of what the product can do for those who purchase. Also include testimonials from users who have already tried the product. Be sure that these customers are more than willing to allow you to use their names and photos on the site of the specific product you are marketing.

You can also write articles highlighting the uses of the product and include them on the website as an additional page. Make the pages attractive an compelling and include your call to action on the information.(Call to action = what, exactly, you want the reader to do - ie: click on link and purchase, join email list etc.) Each headline should attract the readers to try and read more, even contact you. Highlight the special points and benefits. How will this product or service BENEFIT your reader? This will help your readers to learn what the page is about and they will want to find out more.

2. Offer free reports to your readers. If possible position them at the very top side of your page so it just can’t be missed. Try to create autoresponder messages that will be emailed to those who input their personal information into your sign up box. According to research, a sale is usually not closed until the seventh contact with a prospect.

Only two things can possibly happen with a single page alone: a closed sale or the prospect leaving the page and never to return again. By placing useful information into their inboxes at certain specified periods, you will remind them of the product they thought they would want later just never got around to returning to purchase. Be sure that your email content is directed toward specific reasons to buy the product. Do not make it sound like a sales pitch.

Focus on important points like how your product can make life easier and more enjoyable. Include compelling subject lines in your emails. As much as possible, avoid using the word “free” because there are still older spam filters that dumps those kind of contents into the junk before even anyone reading them first. Convince those who signed up for your free reports that they will be missing something big if they do not avail themselves of your products and services.

3. Get the kind of traffic that is targeted to your product. Just think, if the person who visited your website has no interest whatsoever in what you are offering, they will be among those who move on and never come back. Choosing profitable keywords will be the first true test of your marketing abilities. There is a learning curve and don’t be discouraged if, at first, you get clicks, but no sales. Just keep refining your page and/or emails and soon you will be getting the buyers instead of the “lookers”!

Try to write a minimum of 2 articles per week on your products benefits, of at least 300-600 words in length. The more exposure you can generate for your product the more readers and the more sales you will get.

Always remember that only about 1 out of 100 people are likely to buy your product or get your services. If you can generate as much as 1,000 targeted hits for your website in a day, that means you can potentially make 10 sales based on the average statistic.

The affiliate marketing tactics given above are not really very difficult to do. It just requires a little time and an action plan on your part.

Try to use these tips for several different affiliate marketing programs. “Play” with different tactic and see which ones work best for you. You can easily maintain a good source of income and survive in a business that not everyone can do. (Mainly because they give up to soon!)

Besides, think of the huge paychecks you will be receiving and the closer you are getting to financial freedom.

These tactics, and more are what you can learn by taking advantage of the perfect affiliate marketing guide. Tactics you can implement using 100% free methods.

How to Succeed at Article Marketing

Publish by: Webmaster

For years, article marketing has been an effective tool for affiliates to generate visits and sales from interested consumers.

Here is a brief overview of how article marketing works and how it can benefit your efforts as an affiliate.

First, you should identify a product niche that you’re knowledgeable about, and then write an article related to that topic. At the end of the article, you can add a ‘resource box.’ Typically, this is a couple of sentences about you and what you have to offer, followed by a link to your website, where you can then direct people to useful products in that niche.

The trick here is to use those sentences to entice people to click on your link. An easy way to accomplish this is to offer a free report or other freebie related to your niche market.

Next, you’ll submit that article (for free) to various article directories on the web.

The two main directories to start with are:

www.ezinearticles.com and www.goarticles.com

To find more, just do a Google search for ‘article directory’ or ‘article directories.’

Please note that one of the conditions of publishing your article in these directories is that you allow other people to republish your articles as long as they don’t change the content and leave your name and the resource box at the end of the article intact.

Don’t worry; this is a good thing, as it will lead to more traffic for you! There are two main ways this practice will get you additional traffic.

1) Getting Published

Website owners in the niche market you are writing about will come to these directories looking for suitable articles they can use as content on their websites or ezines.

If they pick your article to publish on their site, their visitors will see your website link in the resource box at the end of your article, which could generate extra traffic for you with no additional effort or expense on your part.

2) Search Engine Rankings

Article directories can rank highly in the search engine results, so your article may get a good search engine listing by being on some of these sites. This is especially the case if other websites link to your article.

To try to get a good search engine ranking, you should target specific keyword phrases you want to rank for and make sure to include them in your article. The less competitive the keyword, the better the chance your article will rank well in the search engines.

A note of caution-don’t overdo your keyword targeting by stuffing loads of keywords into the article. If you do this, many people won’t want to read your article or click on your link, and the search engines may punish you for writing “spammy” content. This completely defeats the purpose of article marketing, which is to provide useful information that gets people to take the action you want them to take.

Instead of repeating your keyword dozens of times, just get your main keyword in there a few times, and start the article title with your keyword if you can. Your best bet is to strike a balance between having your keyword in your article enough to get noticed by search engines and keeping it readable, informative, and enjoyable for actual humans. After all, it doesn’t matter how many visitors see your article if it doesn’t convince anyone to click on your link!

In addition to getting your articles ranked in the search engines, you can also increase your own website’s search engine rankings by linking to it from your articles. With each article you submit, the more links you’ll have to your site, and the better your rankings will be.

That’s article marketing in a nutshell. Give it a try, and be aware that it may take some time and effort before you start seeing results. The best article marketers put a lot of time and effort into improving their work, just like any author, but since it’s a free and simple way to generate traffic and sales, it’s well worth the time you invest!

Affiliate Marketing Traffic

Publish by: Webmaster Monday, April 13, 2009

There is a huge array of free marketing techniques now available to internet marketers, so does the phrase "you have to spend money to make money" apply to affiliate marketing?

After all, there are content sites and social networking sites that will give you web space and a web presence at no cost. All you need is a computer, an internet connection, and a little bit of time.

Is there any reason to spend money while setting up your campaign? There is: pay per click (PPC) advertising.

Many people avoid pay per click advertising. The reasoning is that they can drive traffic to their sites using other methods and pay per click is just money down the drain. Well, there is merit to that argument, but pay per click advertising should not be dismissed out of hand.

To determine if pay per click advertising is right for you, you need to determine a few things: do you have the necessary capital; will your pitch be strong enough to turn prospects into cusomers; and what is your current customer reach?

First thing is the capital. Do you have enough money on hand to cover these advertising costs? Dovetailing into this question is the next, how strong is your pitch.

If you have very strong and persuasive sales copy on your website that has a high success rate, then pay per click is probably a good option for you. Every click will cost you money, but when you are converting those clicks to sales, the cost is minimal. If your pitch isn't strong, then PPC advertising might not be a good idea.

Advertising such as this is paying for people's attention. After they have clicked through to your site, you need to grab their attention, and convert it to a sale.

The last question is what is your current customer reach, and more specifically, what are your goals, in relation to customer building? Do you already have a good system in place to manage your customer list?

If everything works smoothly and you have good convert rates, then it is a good idea to build that list, thereby building your sales, and pay per click may help you get more people into your list. Conversely, if your list is growing fast from your regular techniques, then you probably don't need pay per click.

If you are a beginner, pay per click can be a delicate balance. You need to build your list, but may not have the money on hand to do it. In such cases, learning from someone who has mastered the art is priceless.

When looking for PPC training, always be sure that your mentor has actually walked the talk, and is not just selling you a product and leaving you to it.

How To Create An Article Marketing Strategy: Step 1

Publish by: Webmaster Sunday, April 12, 2009

I was telling you recently how it really helps to think of yourself as implementing an article marketing campaign rather than just writing article by article and seeing how it goes.

You need to take a long term perspective with article marketing (as with any online marketing tool) , and I know that's the area where we struggle–most people want to see results yesterday!

I know it's hard to plug along not knowing where you're going or where you'll end up, and that is why creating an article marketing campaign can make all the difference in your results.

I have been article marketing for years and years, but just last year I started a new campaign that has created tremendous results for my sites. I did something a little different and it really paid off.

I thought it might be helpful to you if I shared exactly what I did so that you can get an idea in your head as to what is possible if you implement an article marketing campaign and stick with it over the long term.

I'm going give you Step 1 today, and this is it:

Establish your website's baseline.
In order to know how you're doing, you need to know where you're staring from. Each month you will measure your results in the following areas, and after several months you'll be able to see definite progress.

This was exactly my first step with my campaign that I started a year ago, and without doing this, I don't think I would have had the success I had over the past year.

It's simple enough–Here is how you determine your website's baseline:

1) What is your website's ranking for each of your keywords?
So, type Keyword #1 into Google.

Where does your site appear in the search engine results listings? Is it #5, #50, or 105–whatever your ranking, make a note of it.

Now, repeat this by doing a search for each of your keywords and see where your site turns up in the rankings.

Then, after you've finished searching in Google, hop on over to Yahoo and do the same searches.

(It's worth it to set up a spreadsheet to track this info.)

2) How many backlinks are coming into your site?
Here's a tutorial on how to do a back link check:

Enter that number in your spreadsheet for both Google and Yahoo (or whichever search engines are important to you).

3) What is your website's PageRank?
PageRank (PR) is the ranking that Google assigns to each page on the internet as a reflection of the website's authority. The ranking scale goes from 0-10, where 10 is the best.

Now, you do not need to achieve a PR10 to be at the top of the search engine rankings for your keywords–you may be able to have a PR of only 2, 3 or 4. So, a super high PR isn't everything, but it is one indicator that can help you track your website's progress.

How do you measure your PR? The Google Toolbar has a PageRank indicator on it. Just download the toolbar, then hover your cursor of the PR indicator, and you'll see the PR of the web page.

4) What is your website's traffic
You probably have some sort of stats tracking system set up with your site that will tell you your website traffic each month–that's what you would use to tell you what your traffic is. Just whatever your website traffic was for the month prior to the month you're currently in, add that to your spreadsheet.

Now–please note: Any one of these indicators may not reveal much. You may be building links and are due for an upgrade in PageRank the next time Google adjusts their rankings, but you won't be able to tell that if you're only measuring website traffic. Remember–there is a delayed reaction in the search engines and with traffic to a site, so that the efforts you exert today in marketing your site will show their results several months from now.

This is why it's so helpful to track multiple stats–you can see changes in some areas while other areas are still trying to catch up.

Here are some FAQs you may have after gathering this information:

When I do searches for my keywords, I see radically different results in Google and Yahoo–why so different?
You may rank highly for one keyword in Google and be completely off the charts in Yahoo, or vice versa. This is not unusual–each search engine has it's own way of measuring results so the results are different. By implementing an article marketing campaign, you can 'even things out'. When I first started my most recent article marketing campaign, my site's rankings in Google were much higher than in Yahoo, but now a year later my site ranks at the top in both search engines.

I can't find my site in the search engine rankings–what does that mean?
That's fine–this is why you're doing article marketing, so that you can jump up the rankings! Everyone has to start somewhere, and if you're just starting to market your site it's not unusual to not see your site listed at all in the rankings when you do a search for your keywords. You are taking steps to change that.

My site has a PageRank of zero–what's up with that?
It could be that your website is brand new–if your site has not yet been indexed by Google, when you do the PageRank check, you will see something like 'no ranking available'. That counts as a PR0. If your site is brand new, you will need to wait for your site to be indexed and for the incoming links to be evaluated, which can take 4+ months.  If your site is not brand new, then likely you are just starting to marketing your site. Don't fret if you have a PR0–PageRank can go up if you build links and market your site!

I know I have backlinks, but none are showing up when I do the search.
Please see this post on When Can I Expect Backlinks To Show Up For My Articles? to understand the reasons why your site may not be showing backlinks yet.

Article Marketing Plan: a Guide?

Publish by: Webmaster

Article Marketing is a excellent way to get free Search engine traffic . The key is having a solid article marketing plan. You need to set a goal of writing and submitting at least one article per week to have any impact on your website traffic. You must follow through and stick to your guns and make sure you publish the number articles you have set in your plan for each month.

My article marketing plan calls for to write and submit 1 article per week for my fishing site, now some weeks I write more, but never less than 1 per week. One article may not sound like a lot but you are building links with these articles that will last a lifetime. Also quality and respectability are strong factors when writing articles. If you don’t have a goal to recognized as a expert in your selected “niche” then don’t bother with article marketing.

Article marketing is not a quick hit traffic generator, This process takes time and your website traffic increases will be over time. There are some ways to jump start your efforts by automation but you need to learn the basics before using these tools. But I can guarantee this traffic will be quality targeted traffic. I have been using article marketing for about two years now and my sales have doubled.

Now let’s get to the meat of my article and look at key steps that are needed to make your article marketing efforts successful.

#1 Identify your “niche” market. Do not waste your time starting to write articles until you have completed this step. The more specific you are when you identify what you want to write about the better success you will have.

#2 Create a keyword , keyword phrase list of at least 50 keyword phrases. These words need to be associated with the “niche” market you have chosen. I do not recommend you start out targeting single keywords, select keyword phrases about your niche that are two and three words in length. Concentrate on using keyword phrases that are two and three words in length. The reason I say this is because writing articles that concentrate using just single keywords are very hard to get listed on search engines. It is much easier to get listed with two and three keyword phrases. If you have a low advertising budget, like most of us, I would like to suggest an excellent free keyword phrase generator that is offered by Google adwords. This service is free and you do not need to deposit any money. Type in a single keyword that is associated with your “niche” market. Adwords will generate a list of two and three keyword phrases for you. Make sure you download or copy this list for future use when you are writing your articles.

#3 Start writing articles that use some of the keyword phrases from your list . Start out writing by inserting your two and three word phrases as you go. One thing about keywords or phrases is that you do not want to repeat the same targeted word or phrase more than once every 100 hundred words. Take for example, if I were writing a article about article marketing and targeting the phrase “ Article Automation” and the length of my article was say 700 words, I would need to make sure this key word phrase was not used more than once every 100 words and no more then 7 times total. There are ways to mix your phrases up to get the same ranking without duplicating your phrases; example instead of using “article automation” you could use “automate articles” and not be penalized by the search engines for excessive keywords. Remember concentrate on the quality of your article when inserting keyword phrase. It’s important that you get the attention of the reader.

#4 Create a list of article directories to submit your article too. There are some steps to this that I recommend you use because all article directories are not created equal. You need to build a list of directories that prioritized by their Google rankings. First thing you need to do is go to Google and type in “article directory” in the search box. The results will give you 1000’nds of sites to use in your list development. There are two sites you must put on your list right now and they are ezinearticles.com and searchwarp.com. I use a free Google ranking tool that is simple to use to locate each sites ranking. Type in the following keyword phrase “website ranking tools for Google” at Google’s search box to find a free ranking tool suitable for you, or just e-mail me and I send the link I use. Just a note when developing a list use sites with rankings of 6,5,4,3 first, these sites will get you some traffic over time.

Market Specific Is The Rule Of SEO

Publish by: Webmaster Saturday, April 11, 2009

Being market specific drives traffic
The best utilisation of an SEO campaign is to be market specific. SEO is all about targeting (the right) traffic and if you want to generate more appropriate traffic, you should start by targeting the content of your website to a specific group or niche. Starting with your Keywords, by doing this, you will attract those visitors who are searching for information contained on your website and who actually intend on dropping in. Your volume of traffic will increase as well as the quality thereof. Your keywords need to be focused on the kind of thing that potential customers would search for precisely.

Articles should also be market specific
The incorporation of Articles within your website should also be market specific. Articles are another way of attracting your target traffic and should too contain relevant keywords most commonly searched for. Remember not to keyword stuff however. Articles need to be informative and valuable as a resource to users, which is imperative if you want them to stick around your website for a while, hopefully becoming customers and returning time and time again.

Remember that your websites content serves as the connection between your market and business and the more relevant and precise your content is to your target market, the better your business will run.

Target marketing tools
Not targeting a specific market could be costly as well as time wasting. To correctly aim at a group, you need to understand the audience that will potentially use your site. Various tools can assist you in doing so. For example, the use of SEO toolbars can help you realise your competition and determine what is working for them. There are also websites that you can scan through that might give you an idea on what people are looking for. These interactive sites have posts by users with specific questions, which you can use to your advantage.

SEO Analytics can help you find out how users find their way onto your website (search engines, via an affliliate site, pay per click etc) and you can adjust your SEO campaign as you go to ensure that you get the most of your marketing budget.

A common debate in the online world revolves around whether or not you need your own website to earn affiliate marketing revenue. This article will discuss the 2 opposing viewpoints on this topic and you can then decide what will work best for you.

1. You can, for sure, earn affiliate marketing revenue without your own website. The following are several examples of how you can accomplish this.

You can focus on building a mailing list and then sell your products to people on that list. You can grow your list without a landing page through buying co-registration leads.

Your list will be automatically built because the co-registration lead business will place the leads right into your autoresponder. Once this is done, you can build relationships with these subscribers by following up regularly.

Your reputation and credibility will go up as you work on building these relationships. Now it will be easier to earn affiliate marketing revenue as you can direct your subscribers to an affiliate sales page. They will be more likely to buy as you have pre-sold them already by sending them regular email messages through your autoresponder.

Another way to earn affiliate marketing revenue without a website is to use direct methods for promoting your products. Some examples of this would be using traffic exchanges, purchasing banner ad space or using Internet based classified ads.

Once you determine how much you need to spend to create a certain amount of revenue, it becomes simply a numbers game. You can now step up your advertising expenditures because you have a good idea about how much you used to spend to make a certain amount of profit.

Now let's look at some examples of how you can use your own website to earn affiliate marketing revenue.

When you have your own website, you are in complete control of all of the components. If you want, you can build review pages of various affiliate products and promote them like that. In this way, you can pre sell your visitors on a product before you redirect them to the affiliate sales page.

Blogging is another strategy that people use to make affiliate marketing revenue with their own website. Often, people will attach their blog to the web host so that when they make a post, their website search engine rankings will increase. Your blog can be monetized by placing things like Google Adsense, banner ads and affiliate links into the sidebars of your blog.

If you want, you can build landing pages, place them on your web hosting account and then promote them to build your opt in list. The bottom line is that having your own website will give you some extra flexibility to do more things.

Whether you decide to work with a website or not to earn affiliate marketing revenue comes down to personal choice. It really depends on what you want to accomplish and what methods of online marketing you are comfortable working with.
